Fabulous I stay two night realy feels at home as it very clean newly refurbished , nice staff and good breakfast .
It was clean and comfy but I was in a single room with a stud wall and could here everything from bedroom adjacent. Plus I thought they served breakfast but chef was away.
This place was cheap and chearful. Good sized clean room & bedding. Excellent communication via email from the hosts. The only gripe I had with Rivendell (apart from the lack of lotr's stuff) is that the shower had rubbish water pressure and the tap handle was heavy so kept shutting the water off mid shower. The shower head leaked from the part where it connects to the hose. Extra bonus though is that the room had a massive telly and free very good WiFi. Just an extra note for anyone who stays; Rivendell has some parking (4 spaces) but these were taken up by 2 inconsiderate drivers. On street parking is free after 4pm but is a complete nightmare due to many other guest houses being positioned on the same street. ALSO... The street has very little lighting so take a torch. Anyway. Back to the guest house. We recommend it.

Excellent overnight stay here. Room was small but spotlessly clean as was en-suite. Breakfast was well cooked and plenty of it. Craig was welcoming and very helpful on phone and by email. Will definitely use again when staying in the area.
Perfect location for Southampton Football Ground. Lovely welcome on arrival. Our bedroom was just lovely with a shower en suite. Tea & coffee with biscuits too.
